For the second quarter of the year, we are delighted to announce our partnership with ScarBoccia- a local inclusive disability sports club who provide various sports such as Boccia, New Age Kurling, Seated Volleyball and sensory games. Charity Poker Tournament 24th February
For the quarter we chose Alzheimer’s Society to receive all of the donations from our customers and employees. In addition to having collection pots throughout the premises we ran our regular Charity competition on Saturday 24th February that had an absolutely fantastic turnout!

A Season of Giving: Our Christmas Hamper Giveaway Winners Revealed!
On Saturday 23rd December, we gave one lucky person a Christmas Hamper containing 19 items! Congratulations to our winner, Andrew Hodgson and our 3 runner-ups who won a box of goodies each.
Christmas Jumper Poker Competition
Last night's Christmas Jumper Poke Extravaganza was a decked-out delight. With 52 players, 33 rebuys and 28 add-ons, the pot reached a massive £3390! A special congratulations to our winner who snagged a bottle of Famous Grouse for scoring with 3 Kings. Cheers to a night of poker merriment!
Christmas Spinanza
In conjunction with our slot party, Opera House Casino held a Christmas Spinanza special on Tuesday 5th December. Congratulations to our winner who took home the Tower of Treats and congratulations to those who won a Cash Match Voucher! Don't forget, our 3 Kings Promotion starts on 13th December where you could win a £10 Gift Voucher. T&C's apply!
Whitby & Scarborough Dog Rescue
On Saturday 18th November, Opera House Casino held a charity poker tournament in support of Whitby & Scarborough Dog Rescue. We had 46 entries, with 38 rebuys and 34 add-ons, with a prize pot of £4840 to be won! Our top three dealings were £1050 for 1st and 2nd place and £1000 to 3rd place. Altogether, we raised £230.00 for charity! Thank you to everyone who came and we look forward to welcoming you on 24th February 2024 for our next charity event!
Ghoulette
On 31st October, we had our scary Ghoulette competition. 23 people entered against the mad doctor! Congratulations to our 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners who all won casino gift vouchers. Stay tuned for more upcoming competitions.
Head Hunter Trick or Treat Competition
On Monday 30th October, we held our Head Hunter Trick or Treat Competition. With 6 tables in play and a prize pot of £3450 AND £1380 in Bounty's to be won! Congratulations to our winners. If you would like to join in on the action, we have our dealer-dealt cash games every Thursday. Beginners welcome!
Whitby & Scarborough Dog Rescue
After raising money for Macmillan over the past three months, we have decided for the remaining quarter of the year, to raise money for Whitby & Scarborough Dog Rescue. We are immensely proud to be supporting a small, local charity. Keep your eyes peeled for donation tubs and upcoming charity events.
Macmillan Charity
Between July and September, Opera House Casino decided to raise money in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. From our charity poker competition to our coffee morning, we managed to raise £653.94 to help those affected by cancer! We wanted to thank everyone for their incredible support.

The Rennard Trophy
The Rennard Trophy made its return on Monday 4th September 2023, with a special prize of a JVC 50" Smart 4K HDR LED Fire TV for our winner!
We had over 6 full tables in attendance, with a massive £4380.00 in the prize pot.
For the first time ever, we had our second time winner, Peter Kirby, who first won back in 2009!
The top five winners, who made a deal, walked away with £698.30 each, with Mr Kirby also walking away with his brand new TV and his name engraved on the Rennard Trophy.

Macmillan Charity Tournament
Our charity poker tournament in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support was a great success!
Held on Saturday 26th August 2023, our charity tournament had over 25 players in attendance, raising £161.06 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
1st and 2nd place won a prize of £760.00 each and 3rd place won a prize of £650.00. This was a fantastic night for a great cause.
Our next charity tournament is on Saturday 18th November 2023 in aid of Whitby & Scarborough dog rescue. We hope to see you all there!
